Jake Lyman is currently the radio play-by-play broadcaster for Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball, entering his fourth season in the position. He also serves as the host of Next Man Up, a daily sports talk show on 102.5 The Game in Nashville.

In addition to his work with Vanderbilt, Lyman has also called games for the Nashville Sounds, Middle Tennessee State, the SEC Network+, and high school football for Friday Night Rivals on MyTV30 since arriving in Nashville.

Lyman also was the voice of the St. Cloud Rox, a collegiate baseball team in the Northwoods League, for two summers. He broadcast over 140 games in his two summers in Minnesota, while also assisting with game notes, social media and game recaps.

A graduate of Virginia Tech’s Sports Media program, Lyman worked in all aspects of sports media during his time in college. He did play-by-play for the ACC Network Extra and the student radio outlet, 3304 Sports. He also was a writer and podcast host for TechSideline.com, covering all things Virginia Tech Athletics.
